Site for business class residential complex “1st Nagatinsky” is situated in Nagatinsky Zaton District, a location with Moscow River embankment views. Thoughtful redevelopment brings good changes to the ecological state of the district, making the site even more attractive — close to both the city center and natural areas.
We are creating a unique and special environment on the given territory, to emphasize the development status and for residents to always feel confident and comforted.
SITE ANALYSIS
Housing complexes & business centers
Location and transport nodes are a big advantage of the “1st Nagatinsky”. However, the commercial infrastructure of the district has many empty gaps: it lacks grocery stores and household services, which are mostly scattered on ground floors of newly built apartment and business buildings. The area has unique sports facilities, due to the geography: a ski slope and an embankment.

Main ideas that we brought into the developing landscape design: search of authenticity, desire for success, confidence and security. These concepts shaped the basis of a comfortable and well-maintained environment.
ZEN GARDEN
One of the recreational areas is planned as a garden for meditation: elegant and simple, easy with the details. Here we’ve used repeating landscaping elements that shape a different view at every glance.
ACTIVE RECREATION AREA
A multifunctional pergola-pavilion is situated next to one of the lounge areas. In summer the pavilion serves as an open environment for yoga and outdoor sports activities. A tree, permeating through the roof, serves as a prominent accent. In winter the pavilion is partially shut by sliding glass partitions, creating a cozy room for comfortable pastime and training.
AREA BY A FIREPLACE
BIG WAVE IN KANAGAWA
Kids playground is an unusual element of the landscape. A combination of sensations forms the game zone: illusion of dynamics, intensity, optical vision. A path, that passes the entire kids area, starts with a “Big Wave” playground and gradually draws children into action. The peak attraction is a gaming bridge called “Mount Fuji”, that embodies beauty and tranquility. Natural portrayals are intertwined in harmony: wooden islands that approach the base of the sacred Fuji are guarded by kind and reliable warriors: sculptures of O, Tu and Tibi Totoro. The characters from Hayao Miyazaki’s film are guardian spirits of the forest — kind and sweet creatures.
PROMENADE
On the Promenade art pieces succeed one another, like the seasons. The Promenade is an art space with an identity of its own, a path that links a noisy public area with a recreational area by the fireplace.
